After an extensive search for an inexpensive, sulfate-free shampoo, I finally came across this shampoo. I got it at my local Walgreens for so cheap (5$!).
The Shampoo is:
Argan oil has a unique structure that penetrates the hair cuticle, reducing friction and breakage during shampooing and provides a natural micro-barrier that protects from styling heat and UV rays.
My hair is healthier an thicker than it was before. The pump is great, the lather and scent are nice, and best of all my hair is instantly soft and smooth. I also love how it’s free of harsh chemicals so it’s safe for my hair.
For those complaining about it leaving your hair a dry tangled mess, I’ve noticed when switching to more natural products that it takes some time for your hair to get used to it. When you’ve been using sulfates in your shampoo your whole life its been stripping all of your natural oils, so yes when you switch to this your hair will be unbalanced for a little while until your scalp finds its natural pH again.
I really like the amount of shampoo that I got for the price. This is the biggest sized shampoo that I’ve seen that doesn’t include a lot of the harsh chemicals, ingredient conscious naturals look out for such a reasonable price. One thing – if you use oil (e.g coconut) it might not wash it off because it doesn’t contain SLS. If you want wash off oil you might need to wash your hair few times with this one or use a little bit ‘stronger’ shampoo.
I haven’t tried the conditioner yet but I definitely will!
