Chocolate Chip Cookies

Is there anything better than a fresh batch of soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies? I don't think so!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg (large)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

1. In a large bow cream together butter and sugars until fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla, followed by salt, baking soda and baking powder.
2. Mix in flour until fully incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.
3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll the dough into large balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for around 10 minutes until the cookies look puffy and dry and just barely golden. Do not overbake them!
4. Let them cool for 30 min.
5. Store in an airtight container.
