The story has some interesting twists and turns and I have to say it has a good, solid plot that will keep you entertained from the beginning.

The story alternates between the present and past and is told from Grace's point of view. The past - only a few months before Grace and Jack get married, to show their relationship before they got married. The book starts in present, we meet Jack and Grace Angel (is it really?), perfect couple, perfect house, perfect dinner with normal friends admiring their perfect life. Of course you, as a reader, know they are probably not as perfect as they seem to be, and you waiting and wondering what's actually wrong with them. You might expect what will happen next, you might be wrong. I had my theories but I wasn't completely right. This was certainly one creepy and screwed up story.

Grace's sister Millie boards at a school that she loves and where she is well taken care of. Unfortunately, when she turns 18 she's no longer eligible to remain living there. With her parents out of picture Grace is the one that needs to take care of her sister, and she's more than happy to take her home, but then everything changes and she prays everyday to find a way to keep her sister far away from her house.

the nightmare begins...

This is a truly frightening and disturbing book. It shows how easy it is for someone to manipulate facts and leave us with no choice. I could feel her fear and I was scared for her. You might think "Yea right, it wouldn't happen in real life", really? A woman blindly falling in love in a monster, who controls her every step? I think this doesn't sounds that unrealistic.
